After studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he moved to San Diego, CA in 2001 and started as a loudspeaker engineer at Pioneer Electronics. Later at Logitech, Jason formed the Acoustical Engineering Department. He oversaw the development of over 100 audio products, growing the revenue of the Audio Business Unit from 100M to 500M/yr. He received the CEO’s Excellence award for his work on the mm50, the first rechargeable IPod speaker, and Logitech’s best selling product ever. Jason was CTO and later CEO of Carbon Audio. Our Mission:

AUDIO THE WAY YOU HEAR IT

Take a look around. Or should we say, take a listen.

Sound is everywhere. Sound surrounds us. Sound is physical ? it is, quite literally, touching you everywhere you go.

We rely on it to navigate our world, tell stories, and communicate. Everything from car alarms, to spoken word, to music ? all translate from the ability to manipulate air to create audible information that we use in our everyday lives.

But the way we capture and replay that sound has reached a plateau. It’s been marginalized. Condensed. Blocked into channels and played back in limited forms.

We’ve got mono sound, surround sound, stereo sound ? but where’s the real sound? The unhindered sound? The sound not taken for granted and experienced the way that we truly hear the world around us?

We want you to hear that sound. Unfiltered and omni-present ? just like everyday.

That’s why we create sound that’s in x, y, and z. The sound that exists beyond the headphones, or the living room, or even the theater. The sound that makes you feel because it feels real.

In the end, it is about more than cable quality, audio channels, sine waves, woofer diameters, or amperage. Creating sound is about creating an experience. It’s putting you somewhere else. Sound is emotional, irrational, and powerful.

Sound makes any experience real.

And that’s the sound we want you to hear.
